After graduating from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln with a bachelor’s degree in Journalism and Mass Communication back in 2008, I left the “good life” and headed to Houston, Texas. There I worked in corporate communications for several years in oil and gas industry. But in 2012, I took a leap of faith and decided to become an independent communications consultant. It’s been several years and I have never looked back.
I started working at a national photography studio at age 16. Rather than a formal college education out of high school, I took what money I had and opened up my own photography studio. Thanks to amazing mentors, priceless connections with vendors in the industry combined with a lot of long nights and hard work, I’m still doing what I love 14 years later.
Strategic marketing and advertising has been my passion for more than 11 years. I graduated in 2008 from UNL with a Bachelor’s in Journalism majoring in advertising. For more than 11 years, I’ve worked for a big advertising agency in LA; managed publications in a small Northern California town; and ran a start-up in a niche market. These experiences has built a crucial understanding of business planning and strategic marketing to effectively increase business and providing results for customers.
I have spent the past 11 years working in sports & entertainment as well as healthcare marketing. During my time I had the pleasure of working with artists such as Rascal Flatts, Cirque du Soleil, Miranda Lambert, Disney and many more. With everything that has crossed my screen, I have gained a big appreciation for an ever changing task list spanning so many different messages and demographics.
